Thrust ball bearing

Thrust ball bearings can only withstand axial loads and must not bear any radial loads whatsoever.

Single-direction thrust ball bearings are capable of withstanding unidirectional axial loads and cannot take any radial loads. Their components are separable, facilitating easy installation, disassembly and maintenance inspection, and most parts are interchangeable. The bore of the shaft washer is precision ground to enable an interference fit with the shaft.

Double-direction thrust ball bearings can withstand bidirectional axial loads yet cannot bear any radial loads. Their separable components allow for convenient installation, disassembly and maintenance inspection, with most parts being interchangeable. The bore of the shaft washer is precision ground to achieve an interference fit with the shaft.
