If a deep groove ball bearing experiences an excessive temperature rise, the first step is to determine whether the temperature increase is abnormal when the bearing temperature goes up. If the temperature is confirmed to be abnormally rising, the following measures should be taken:
(1) Check whether the cooling water pressure, water flow and pipeline system are normal. If the water pressure is too low, it may be caused by a clogged filter, which needs to be handled in a timely manner; the equipment can only be shut down and put back into use after confirming that the system is working properly.
(2) Check the oil pressure of the governor. Excessively low oil pressure may cause the cooling water hydraulic valve to close.
(3) Check for abnormal noise from the bearing and inspect whether the runout of the deep groove ball bearing is normal.
(4) Take an oil sample to observe if the oil color has changed, and send it to the laboratory to test for oil deterioration. If oil deterioration is confirmed, shut down the equipment and replace with new oil.
(5) Check whether the oil level indicated by the oil level gauge is normal. If the oil level is abnormal, check if the oil drain valve of the oil tank is tightly closed; if it is tightly closed, replenish the oil quantity; if the abnormal oil level is caused by oil leakage from the gasket, shut down the equipment to handle the oil leakage problem.
In the process of using a deep groove ball bearing, if an excessive temperature is found, the equipment operation should be stopped immediately to identify the cause and resolve it in accordance with the above plan. However, due to the different causes of heating in deep groove ball bearings, the corresponding solutions may also vary, so it is still necessary to handle the problem in combination with specific conditions, and operation with the assistance of technical personnel is required if necessary.
(1) Grease Filling Method
The so-called grease filling method refers to the regular filling of an appropriate amount of grease on the working surface of the bearing, which is a commonly used grease lubrication method.
(2) Grease Cup Method
The grease cup method involves installing a rotating cover type grease cup or a pressure type grease cup on the bearing housing, and injecting grease into the bearing by regularly rotating the grease cup cover or using a grease gun, which is also a commonly used grease lubrication method.
(3) Pressure Grease Supply Method
The pressure grease supply method relies on a grease pump to supply grease, and grease with good fluidity should be selected in this case.
(4) Centralized Grease Supply Method
The centralized grease supply method uses a grease pump to supply grease to multiple sets of deep groove ball bearings and other components at the same time. Similarly, grease with good anti-flow, anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion properties should be selected for this method, which is also a type of pressure grease supply method.
